"I was about 10 years old when I started taking pictures with a Kodak Instamatic camera and I have had a camera in my hands ever since"
For me life is art. The passion to create is built into my very DNA. Art is not simply defined by the finished product, but by the process one pours into the very act of creating.

As a young deaf child, I was shut out of the sound environment. Thus, I had to be doing something visual, be it drawing, typing, photographing or building something. Anything I could call my own creation and said, "I did that that." It is an explosion of self expression poured out in the unending process of living and surviving in a hearing world. Creating is breathing.

In the summer of '91, I received a BA in television, film and photography from Gallaudet University and minored in photojournalism from American University in Washington, D.C.

After graduation, I began working as a production assistant and video editor for broadcasted television stations in Richmond, VA. Soon after, I moved to  Boulder, Colorado where I began my graphic design career with a sports apparel company, Pearl Izumi. It wasn't until I moved to New Mexico in 2000 that I began to do both, graphic design and photography at the New Mexico School for the Deaf in Santa Fe, NM.

After 12 years at NMSD, I decided to set up my own graphic design and photography business in the summer of 2012 here in Albuquerque, NM. Photography is in a constant state of change. I believe by embracing this change, it will give me a greater opportunity to fulfill my vision as an artist and as a whole person.

My camera is the window through which I experience life and have been fortunate to created countless memories in the process of creating images. I hope to create images of undiscovered beauty, talent or milestone for you to share with your friends, families and communities.
